Indy is our lovely solid liver from Karen and Val Potter's Heiss Draht lines. She is a bold and extremely smart dog who can make you smile even on the worst of days. Indy finished her GCH in 2025, spent some time learning about wild birds and we are now turning focus to her NAVHDA testing for 2026.

Maverick is still a young dog yet but continues to learn daily. He has a confident and bold personality and nothing seems to phase him. He is dong great with basic obedience and has already shown his love for birds. Maverick has really come into himself, earning a 112/112 Prize 1 in his NAVHDA Natural Ability Test at just 8 months old. He has also earned his show title at only 12 months old. This boy has it all, and is another fine example of versatility. From the grouse woods to the show ring, Maverick excels at whatever he has in front of him. We are really excited to have added this guy to the pack and look forward to seeing him as he continues to grow and mature.

Maggie is showing a ton of promise and is following right along in her parent's footsteps. She is proving to be an incredibly smart dog who has been a joy to train. Maggie carries on her parents drive, stylish point, love of water, and natural retrieve. We often refer to her as a machine, as she has an unbelievable amount of drive and loves to work, no matter what the occasion.
Maggie would love to be hunting every day, but is just as at happy laying around the house as she is tearing up the fields. She has also excelled in the ring and finished her show title in her spare time between hunting trips.
We look forward to this fall when she will spend a ton of time learning her way around the north woods chasing grouse and woodcock. She will also be making her debut in the pheasant filled fields of South Dakota.

Stella is a close working dog with an excellent nose, stylish point, and natural retrieve. She has an ideal coat and wonderful furnishings. She shows a ton of drive in the field and turns it off as soon as the hunt is over. When not in the field, she spends her days lounging around the house and sharing the recliner, or rolling around and playing with our 11 year old son. Stella has a phenomenal temperament, is smart, and has been easy to train with a want and willingness to please.
She has been on many preserve hunts and has been to South Dakota twice where she has done exceptionally well on wild pheasants. She is primarily hunted on grouse and woodcock in Northern Michigan. She also pulls double duty and has no problem sitting in a duck blind retrieving ducks and geese.
She loves the water and truly is a well rounded, versatile bird dog.
